Race Report: May 20th at Kamp Motor Speedway

(May 21st, 2006 - Paris, IL) -- On Saturday, May 20th Michael Bradley Motorsports once again hit the track at Kamp Motor Speedway after nearly a 4 week layoff. The team has been very busy readying their new Mastersbilt Chassis. Team 7m must have done more than a few things right and Saturday night proved that hard work will pay off. The team timed in 5th quick out of 25 cars. During heat race action Michael struggled with a very mishandling racecar. They posted a second place finish in the heat race, which earned a 5th place start in the
feature.  At the drop of the green flag, the unfamiliar all black 7m started its charge towards the front. By midway, Michael had driven the brand new Mastersbilt Chassis into second place. The leader began to enter lapped traffic and Michael would close the gap. However, he was never able to make a solid challenge for the lead and settled into a strong second. "We came out here tonight to basically shake the car down and get the bugs out of it. Anyway after all the time spent at the shop and with all the rain, it seems like our first night of the season."   He went on to say "I was more worried about all of the new nuts, bolts, and pieces all working to really
tune on the car for the win.  We have changed a lot of things in our program with this car and I am really happy about the night's finish. It will give us all something to build on and give us a baseline."
